Different users have access to different functions of the site. While anyone can do most things on the site, including reading and editing, administrators have access to a few more functions.
Please note that none of the staff members of Xbox Wiki are employed by or affiliated with Microsoft or the Xbox brand in any official capacity. Xbox Wiki is a community run encyclopedia and is not endorsed by Microsoft. For any issues regarding Microsoft or Xbox products, please contact official support.

Types of Staff
Administrators (sysops)
These additional functions include:
- Deleting and undeleting articles/pages.
- Restoring deleted files and images.
- Protecting pages; limiting edit privileges on an article to only certain groups of users.
- Blocking users or IP addresses from editing, including a quick 'rollback' feature.
- Edit the site interface, changing system messages and skins.
Bureaucrats
Have the same functions as administrators and more:
- Promote current Admins to bureaucrats.
- Make users admin.
- Give users the ability to 'rollback' edits that were made in "bad faith".
Staff

Applications
All users can be promoted, provided they have regular editing activities and accept the site's editing guidelines. Applications can be submitted on the message walls of current admins, although it is also possible for users to be offered positions by the staff themselves.
