Please note that if these rules or the [[Xbox Wiki:Edit Policies|edit policies]] are broken numerous times by a user they will be blocked from editing on the wiki for a certain amount of time depending on their actions.

== General ==
* Swearing may only appear on the wiki if it is being used in a quote for something relevant to the wiki.
* Do not upload images or other information that has previously been removed.
* Any form of vandalism or spam is not tolerated.
* Any form of edit farming (making small changes to a page over and over again to increase the total number of edits a user has made) to achieve badges or increase a user's edit count is not allowed.
* Console wars are not tolerated anywhere on the wiki (e.g PlayStation is better than Xbox or vise-versa).
* Ban evading and [https://community.fandom.com/wiki/Help:Sockpuppet sockpuppeting] is not tolerated.
* A.I generated articles and images created or upscaled with A.I are not allowed and will be deleted.

== Prohibited article content ==
The following is a list of topics that should not be included within articles. Any articles created on these topics will be removed.
* Anything regarding the modification of Xbox consoles.
**This includes hacking, homebrew, console emulators, ROM Hacks, and any other similar topics.
***The only exception of this rule is the Xbox Live revival project, [[Insignia]], as well as Dev Mode on Xbox One and Series X/S consoles.
***All of these topics '''can''' however be discussed on the [[Special:Forum|Discussions]] board and Discord server.
*Video games or apps that have not been released on an Xbox console.
**The only exception of this is if the game was published by Microsoft or if it is available via PC Game Pass or on the Windows Xbox App.
*Fan games
*Games or hardware that do not actually exist.
**Please use the [https://xboxfanon.fandom.com/wiki/Xbox_Fanon_Wiki Xbox Fanon Wiki] for this instead. Any articles created that break this rule will be deleted and moved here.

* Do not complain about the quality of an article in a comment or the discussions board. The edit button is there so try editing it yourself.
* Xbox Wiki is a place used by people of all ages, so please keep comments age appropriate.
* Do not intentionally spoil games for other users.
