Xbox Lounge in Berlin.
The Xbox Lounges were lounging areas that were located across Germany from October 30, 2003 to January 31, 2004. Used to promote the original Xbox, the lounges could be found in Munich, Hamburg, Düsseldorf, and Berlin. Approximately 30,000 people attended the lounges while they were available.[1]
On December 9, 2003, release parties for Xbox Music Mixer were held at each lounge. German DJ tournament Clubstar held their fifth anniversary event at these lounges. Several celebrities including Formular 1 legend Niki Lauda and musician Robert Blanco also came to the lounges during this time[2].

Several events were held at the lounges while they were available.
- November 11, 2003: Players Night including a "Promi-Duell"
- November 18, 2003: Snowboarder Seasons Opening
- November 24, 2003: Start your Engines
- December 9, 2003: Clubstar 5th Anniversary (DJ Battle tournament)
- January 31, 2004: Grand Final
DVD[]
Shortly after the event concluded, a DVD titled Project Xbox Lounge 1 was released that contained various footage from the event.
Trivia[]
- The Xbox consoles that were used at the lounges were donated to an orphanage in Munich, the DEG in Düsseldorf, and the University of Colonge Children's Hospital[3].
