Xbox Community Ambassadors were knowledgeable and helpful Xbox fans who help other gamers by assisting them with general support questions. They often better understood many issues because they have experience in many of these problems themselves. Ambassadors are nowadays usually still active on Xbox Forums. Xbox Ambassadors are not Microsoft Employees.
On September 19, 2024, Microsoft announced that it was closing the Xbox Ambassadors program after 13 years. The program was shut down on October 15, 2024.[1][2]

- Anyone could become an Xbox Ambassador, as long as they met the requirements.
- Ambassadors were expected to abide by the Xbox Code of Conduct.
- Ambassadors were only volunteers, however there were benefits to joining the program such as free avatar items and sweepstakes tickets that could be used to enter a prize draw every month for a chance to win big prizes, such as an Xbox console.
- The requirements to become an Xbox Ambassador were:
- Be at least 17 years of age.
- Have at least 1500 gamerscore.
- Have no previous enforcement actions taken on your Xbox Account within the last year.
