Crafting Table JE3 BE2 UNDER CONSTRUCTION

The Xbox & Bethesda Games Showcase was an event held during E3 on June 13, 21. The event showcased thirty different titles, twenty-seven of which will be available on Xbox Game Pass.

The event was announced on May 26 and was then held on Sunday, June 13 at 10:00am PT. The show ran for approximately ninety minutes and could be streamed on the official Xbox Twitch, YouTube, Facebook, and Twitter accounts .The event consisted of a pre-recorded show, highlighting upcoming Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S and Windows games.

Prior to the event starting, Xbox Fanfest held a Q&A with Phil Spencer (Head of Xbox), Sarah Bond (Head of Xbox Creator Experience), Aaron Greenberg (Head of Xbox Games Marketing) and Pete Hines (Head of Bethesda Marketing and Communications). Fans could watch the show by signing up for Xbox Fanfest prior to the event and registering interest for it. Fans could submit either text or video questions to ask any of the four Q&A members.

  • Starfield is given a release date of November 11, 2022.
  • S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 receives a gameplay trailer as well as a release date of April 28, 2022.
  • Back 4 Blood will release on Xbox Game Pass the same day it releases.
  • Contraband, a new co-op game developed by Avalanche Studios is announced.
  • Sea of Thieves: A Pirate's Life is announced. The update will launch on June 22.
  • Yakuza: Like a Dragon will now be available on Xbox Game Pass.
  • Battlefield 2042 receives a new gameplay trailer.
  • Psychonauts 2 is given a release date of August 25.
  • 10 new Bethesda titles will be heading to Xbox Game Pass.
  • Doom Eternal will receive a 60 FPS/ray-tracing mode, and a 120 FPS performance mode on Xbox Series X soon.
  • Fallout 76 receives trailers for its next two expansions.
  • The Elder Scrolls Online: Console Enhanced receives a new trailer.
  • Twelve Minutes will release on August 19 and be available on Xbox Gamepass on Day One.
  • Party Animals is announced to be coming to Xbox consoles in 2022 and will be released on Xbox Game Pass day one.
  • Hades is announced for Xbox and will also be available on Gamepass on August 13, 2021.
  • Somerville is given a new trailer and a release date of 2022. It will also be available on Xbox Game Pass.
  • Halo Infinite receives a new campaign trailer as well as a first look at the games's multiplayer. Both will launch Holidays 2021.
  • Diablo II: Resurrected is given a release date of September 23, 2021.
  • A Plague Tale: Requiem is announced and will release during 2022.
  • Far Cry 6 gets a new trailer showcasing the game's weapons.
  • Slime Rancher 2 is announced and will release in 2022.
  • Shredders, a new snowboarding game is announced and will release on Xbox Game Pass in December 2021.
  • Atomic Heart is announced.
  • Replaced, a 2.5D retro-futuristic platformer coming is announced and will release in 2022.
  • Among Us will receive a new update on June 15 that includes 15 player lobbies and release on Xbox later this year.
  • Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes will release in 2023 and be available on Game Pass.
  • Eiyuden Chronicle Rising is announced and will release in 2022 and also be available on Game Pass.
  • The Ascent gets a new trailer, it will release on Game Pass on Day on August 19, 2021.
  • Age of Empires IV receives a new gameplay trailer.
  • The Outer Worlds 2 is announced to be in early development.
  • Grounded will receive a new update on June 30 that includes highly requested features, as well as achievements.
  • Microsoft Flight Simulator is given a release date of July 27, 2021 for Xbox Series X|S consoles. A free Top Gun: Maverick expansion is also announced.
  • Forza Horizon 5 is heading to Mexico and will release on November 9 and be available day one on Xbox Game Pass. A announcement trailer and gameplay demo were shown.
  • Phil Spencer gives small updates on games that were absent from the show including the new Fable, Forza Motorsport, Sable, Scorn, Aragami 2 and The Gunk.
  • Redfall, a brand new co-op, open-world first-person shooter is announced and will release exclusively on Xbox and PC in 2022 and be available on Game Pass on Day One.
  • The Xbox Mini Fridge is announced.

Full breakdown

Introduction

The event started with a countdown that included various shots from the past twenty years of Xbox. Including the unveiling of the original Xbox, Xbox fans lining up and celebrating the launches of past consoles and other snippets of popular Xbox games.

Once the countdown finished, Todd Howard welcomed viewers to the event and thanked Xbox players for being with the company over the past year. Todd then began to talk about how games can be powerful as they are able to transport players to world of their own, such as in The Elder Scrolls. This conversation then transitioned to Todd introducing an announcement for Bethesda's first new series in twenty-five years.

Starfield

As described by Todd Howard himself, Starfield "is set hundreds of years in our future, it's a epic, about hope our shared humanity, and answering our greatest mystery." Todd then went on to describe that it has only been now that they have had access to the hardware, technology and the team to create something like this. The first in game teaser was then shown for the game. The trailer showcased the game's different environments and concluded with a release date for the game.

Starfield will launch on November 11, 2022 and will launch exclusively on Xbox Series X|S as well as being available on PC. The game will also release day one on Xbox Game Pass.

Welcome

Following the trailer, the event returned to the stage as Sarah Bond (Head of Xbox Creator Experience) spoke of the new game and reiterated that it will be an Xbox exclusive.

Sarah then officially welcomed everyone from around the world to the event and spoke of how the Xbox brand is committed to forging the next era of gaming across for more people than ever before. The joint Xbox and Bethesda journey was then mentioned as Sarah revealed that thirty titles would be shown during the event, twenty-seven of which would be on Game pass. It was also mentioned that every title shown at the event would be Optimized for Series X and S.

S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2

The next tile to be shown was then introduced. S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 will be released on Xbox Series consoles and PC first. The game will target 4K Resolution and Ray Tracing. A five minute gameplay trailer was then shown.

S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 will release on Xbox Series X|S and PC on April 28, 2022 and be on Game Pass Day One.

Back 4 Blood

Following the previous reveal, a new trailer for Back 4 Blood was shown. The trailer revealed new game modes including PvP and PvE modes.

Back 4 Blood will release on October 12, 2021 on Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S and Windows. The trailer also revealed the Back 4 Blood will launch on Game Pass the same day it is released.

Contraband

Xbox and Avalanche Studios then showed a teaser trailer for a brand new exclusive IP. Contraband is a co-op smuggler’s paradise set in the fictional world of 1970s Bayan. The game will be built on the next generation of the Apex Engine, the technology behind the Just Cause series.

A release date was not given but the game will launch on Xbox Series X|S and PC and also be available on Game Pass.
