Gameplay[]

The gameplay flows along a horizontal 2D plane, while the environment and boss battles are rendered in 3D.

Sine Mora is a horizontal shoot 'em up featuring a Story Mode and Arcade Mode. Stages must be completed before a timer reaches zero. Time is added or deducted for vanquishing enemies or taking damage, and bonus points are salvaged from the remaining time once a stage is complete. There is no health bar in this game, and instead, the timer will simply reach zero if you take too much damage and fail to vanquish enough enemies.[1] The gameplay world is rendered in 3D while gameplay objects fly along a 2D plane, and at key points an in-game cutscene plays in which the camera and plane move.

Players must shoot their way past various foes in side-scrolling aerial combat, and use standard fire as well as six different powerful alternate weapons. In additon, there is an option to temporarily slow down time to your advantage.[1] There are over 60 weapon combinations of characters and planes, which combine to determine your statistics. The use of the mighty alternate weapons or time slowing will reset your score multiplier, determined by consecutive kills using primary fire only. Power ups can be randomly found and collected to give bonuses such as replenished time slowing abilities and more. Red orbs will increase your rate of fire when collected, but will fly away when you take damage.[1]
