Sega GT 2002 is a racing video game published by Sega in 2002 as the sequel to Sega GT, released for the Dreamcast two years prior. It was intended to be released for the Dreamcast, but the game was reprogrammed for the Xbox following the discontinuation of the Dreamcast in 2001.
In 2003, Sega released Sega GT Online, with extra cars and an online facility to take full use of Microsoft's Xbox Live service.
Car Features[]
- As applies to the real world, it is the only game of its kind that doesn't give the player fresh parts after each race.
- It is the first GT-style game to allow you to name your price when you sell your car, rather than selling it at a fixed price. A price is named for your car and it then appears outside your garage with a "For Sale" sign
Gamemodes[]
Start with $13,000 to buy a car of your choice then save the rest of your money to buy faster cars.
Quick Battle: Race against a CPU or Another player
Chronicle Mode: Use vintage cars from the Late 1960s and early 70s, tune them up (overtime) and defeat the newer cars
Time Attack: Try to beat your most fastest Lap-time
Reception[]
The game received favorable reviews and was one of the best Xbox racing games at the time getting a B+ grade average.
