Re-Volt Live is an unreleased racing video game that was in development for the Xbox. It was a stripped-down version of Re-Volt issued to a limited selection of beta testers of the Xbox Live service prior to the launch of the service on the original Xbox.

The full game was cancelled close to being finished, most likely due to developer Acclaim Entertainment's bankruptcy in 2004.

History[]

Re-Volt Live was going to be released exclusively for the Xbox because of its online service, Xbox Live. Gameplay was planned to be very similar to the original Re-Volt but include online functionality such as multiplayer.

Re-Volt Live made it past the development phase and was eventually shipped in very limited supply to closed beta-testers. The game was well received by testers.

While the game was in testing, Re-Volt Live shows up in a Xbox Live promotional video. In the video teenagers could be seen playing the game. The game looked finished in the commercial and ready for a retail release.

Ultimately, the game was cancelled - likely due to the bankruptcy of its developer Acclaim Entertainment.
