Namco Museum Virtual Arcade, or known as ナムコミュージアム バーチャルアーケード in Japanese, is a complication of arcade games by Namco. It only came out on the Xbox 360, with Xbox Live Arcade games. It includes 34 games in total, which is the only one to include Sky Kid Deluxe and the only one to have the most games in the Namco Museum series. 9 games are from Xbox Live Arcade and with 3 Arrangement titles from the PSP game Namco Museum Battle Collection. It came out on 11/4/2008 in North America, 5/15/2009 in Europe, 6/3/2009 in Australia, and 11/5/2009 in Japan.

Games[]

Xbox Live Arcade Games

  • Dig Dug (1982): Play as Taizo Hori wearing blue and white, equipped with a pump as a weapon, and his goal is to defeat all the Pookas and Fygars.
  • Galaga (1981): Play as a fighter that has to restore peace to the galaxy and world, attacking bug enemies from space.
  • Galaga Legions (2008): The updated version of Galaga, only that it was in 2008, with more enemies and harder levels.
  • Mr. Driller Online (2008): Play as Dig Dug's daughter, which she and her friends, have to dig all the way, like Dig Dug, but with no pumps. Blocks can crush players, the same as rocks.
  • Ms. Pac-Man (1982): The sequel to Pac-Man, but with fruit going around the maze and a female Pac. With also different music in intermissions.
  • New Rally-X (1981): The sequel to Rally-X, but easier and includes a Lucky Flag, different car shapes, more BGM & SE.
  • Pac-Man (1980): You control as a yellow muncher that his goal is to eat the pellets while watching out for ghosts that want to defeat him. Pac-Man can fight back using power pellets, which can turn the inedible ghosts edible and turns them blue but won't last too long.
  • Pac-Man Championship Edition (2007): A updated version to Pac-Man. Also on the PSP Mini.
  • Xevious (1982): In 2012, control as a Sovloau, which it's goal is to defeat all the enemies that are planning to take over the world.

Museum Games

  • Baraduke (1985): Play as Kissy and\or Toby, which has to destroy all the enemies, same to Metroid.
  • Bosconian (1981): Play as a Star Fighter which has to shoot all the enemy bases before they attack.
  • Dig Dug II (1985): Instead of being underground, Taizo has to drill and explode all his enemies in islands.
  • Dragon Buster (1985): Play as Clovis, which he has to defeat many dragons and go into castles to find exits.
  • Dragon Spirit (1987): Rescue a girl and play as a dragon, fight all the bosses and enemies. See Xevious.
  • Galaga '88 (1987): See Galaga, except this one, has an ending and continues, except for the final world.
  • Galaxian (1979): See Galaga, except with different characters and no beam function and two spaceships.
  • Grobda (1984): Play as a tank that has to shoot all the enemy tanks in 99 rounds, and has an ending to it.
  • King & Balloon (1980): Play as men that have to protect the king from balloons. Lose lives if balloons capture.
  • Mappy (1983): Mappy the police mouse has to watch out for Goro and his Meowkies, collecting items.
  • Metro-Cross (1985): Play as a runner that has to reach to ends before he gets zapped.
  • Motos (1985): Play as a spaceship that is on different boards and knock out spheres and robot bugs. It ends.
  • Pac & Pal (1983): Same to Pac-Man, except 0 dots and no power pellets. Replaced by items and power-ups.
  • Pac-Mania (1987): Same to Pac-Man, except this one has an ending, and Pac-Man can jump if trapped.
  • Pole Position (1982): Play as an F1 Car that has to race in tracks and get into positions.
  • Pole Position II (1983) See Pole Position. With new cars and selectable tracks.
  • Rally-X (1980): See Rally-X, except with no Lucky Flag and different BGM and SE.
  • Rolling Thunder (1986): Play as a guy that has to rescue a girl, captured by a criminal institution.
  • Sky Kid (1985): Play as a bird that has to defeat all enemy bases.
  • Sky Kid Deluxe (1986): See Sky Kid, except much hard.
  • Super Pac-Man (1982): Same to Pac-Man, but still no pellets, but power pellets return and a new power pellet.
  • The Tower of Druaga (1984) Play as Gil, that has to rescue Ki from Druaga and defeat his evil army.

Arrangement Games

  • Dig Dug Arrangement (2005): Same to Dig Dug, but more power-ups and enemies.
  • Galaga Arrangement (2005): Same to Galaga, except with bosses.
  • Pac-Man Arrangement (2005): Same to Pac-Man, except it ends and bosses and more levels.

Reception[]

On Metacritic, it had 63 for its Metascore and 7.2 for its user ratings. On IGN, it got a 6.5 rating.
