Marcus Fenix is the main protagonist in Gears of War.
History[]
Just after Emergence Day, Marcus disobeyed orders for COG command so he could save his father. He failed in his attempt as Adam Fenix had already been killed by General RAAM. Marcus was subsequently charged with insubordination and sentenced to 40 years in Jacinto Maximum Security Penitentiary. However, 14 years later, his friend Dom Santiago turned up to help him escape, taking him to join Delta Team.
Delta Squad[]
Marcus was placed under the command of Lieutenant Kim, along with Dom and Carmine. When Carmine and Kim died, Augustus Cole and Damon Baird took their places, and Marcus was promoted to Sergeant, becoming the commander of Delta Squad.
