List of Prototype Xbox 360 Controllers

Before the Xbox 360 was released in 2005, numerous designs and prototypes were made of the consoles controller until the right design was found. This page lists some of the prototypes that were used during development.

	This prototype is wired and is colored white. It was used from 2003-2005 and has a similar look to the final result.	2003-2005
	This model was one of the final prototypes used in development. It looks just like the end result but is wired only and has no Xbox logo on the home button.	?
	This prototype is one of the most different controllers when compared to the final result. It uses a glossy black design. As with most other prototypes it is wired. The layout of buttons is very similar to the completed design. The controller's shape is very different to all other Xbox controllers, the shape could be compared to a PlayStation controller.	?
