The Controller S was the second controller made for the Xbox. It was a created as a smaller variation for the console, rather than the large Duke controller.
Development[]
The Controller S went through many prototype phases. First being blue with the Microsoft logo on the top of the green jewel. Then being both Black and Grey with clear X,Y,A,B buttons and a green jewel in the middle.
Predecessor[]
From 2001 to 2002, the Duke was the primary controller for the Xbox. The Japanese Controller S was released in Japan as a result of criticism of the Duke controller.
