Call of Duty: World at War (CoD: WaW) is a first-person shooter videogame developed by Treyarch and published by Activision Blizzard for Nintendo Wii, Playstation 3, Xbox 360, Microsoft Windows and Nintendo DS. It is the fifth episode of the Call of Duty series, excluding the various spin-offs and expansions. World War II returns to the backdrop, after the previous chapter, Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare, was set in modern times. The game was released in North America on 11 November 2008 and Europe on 14 November 2008.

Plot[]

The game takes place during World War II, and involves the United States of America, Japan, Soviet Union and Nazi Germany. It is told from the perspectives of Marine Raider Private C. Miller, US Navy Petty Officer Locke and Soviet Army soldier, Private Dimitri Petrenko.
